American Mah Jongg is an ancient Chinese game of skill, strategy and luck brought to the west in the early 1920s. Gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the game components: the tiles, the card, the mechanics of the game, and general strategies. Participants should bring in $8 materials fee to the first class.

Using a structured series of lessons and practice hands we will cover modern bidding and introduce defense and declarer play skills. This 12-hour class over 6 weeks is for the very beginner quilter or those who have been quilting but want more instruction. Jackie will guide you from beginning to finishing a sampler quilt. You’ll learn about quilting tools needed and how to use them properly, how to rotary cut and sew accurate seams, quilt terminology, color choices, basting, quilting and binding. You’ll also learn how to make units that are used in almost every quilt-half square triangles, 4-patch, flying geese, just to name a few. Added bonus- Jackie will give information on quilt groups/guilds in the surrounding area so that you can continue to be among quilters for advice and friendship should you decide to join.

Up your painting game or move to the next level in this ongoing painting workshop. You will work on intermediate and advanced techniques, so you should have a good handle on your particular medium. You do not need to be an expert, but you should at least know the basics of your medium. Encouragement and advice are staples in this workshop, with non-judgmental critiques and gentle guidance to get you to the next level. Did you know that untreated hearing loss has been linked to a 3x increased risk of falls? Balance takes several systems from all over the body that communicate and coordinate with the brain. Dr. Meg Cates is the owner of Hearing Solutions in historic downtown Louisville, and she will be presenting on the link between hearing and balance. Come listen to how you can improve your balance with a whole-body approach.

In this class we will learn what good posture, seated, standing and walking looks and feels like. We will utilize strategies on how to evaluate our posture so that we can have better alignment awareness.

This is a balance and stability class that will cater to return to sport athletes and injury prevention for Older Adults.

Learn how aging, medications, alcohol and other health-related issues affect driving ability, and ways to adjust for these changes. Learn how to drive safely when sharing the road with others.
