NCAR MESA LAB TOUR & LUNCH, BOULDER - 28016

“The National Center for Atmospheric Research, NCAR, was established by the National Science Foundation in 1960 to provide the university community with world class facilities and services that were beyond the reach of any individual institution.” We will visit the NCAR Mesa Laboratory for lunch in their cafeteria, followed by a tour and time to look through the available exhibits. CARFIT - 28045

CarFit is an educational program that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles “fit” them to increase safety & mobility when you hit the road. This is not a mechanical inspection or driving test. Each appointment will be approximately 30 minutes in length and will take place in the parking lot on the south side of the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center near the outdoor playground. Opportunity provided by Intermountain Health-Good Samaritan Hospital.

AARP’s half-day class is designed to sharpen driving knowledge and skills and to develop strategies that can reduce the likelihood of having a crash. Learn how aging, medications, alcohol and other health-related issues affect driving ability, and ways to adjust for these changes. Learn how to drive safely when sharing the road with others.
